You have questions, and I have the answers.

Let’s map out the process from an idea all the way to a finished piece!

Step 1 — Inquiry Form

Tell Me About Your Project

Start by filling out the project inquiry form with information about your space, goals, timeline, and ideas.

You do NOT need everything figured out yet. We’ll work together to get there!

Step 2 — Creative Consultation

We’ll discuss:

  • Your business/personal goals for the project

  • Your vision/scope for what the project will be

  • Desired mood/style

  • Colors and branding

  • Location details (wall size, surface, interior/exterior)

  • Budget and timeline

This can happen through email, phone, video call, or in person depending on the project.

Step 3 — Concept & Sketching

After the consultation, I’ll create an initial concept or sketch based on our discussion.

This phase may include:

  • Moodboards

  • Color palettes

  • Digital mockups

  • Rough sketches

  • Placement planning

  • Material Requirements if needed

Revisions are made here before painting begins.

Step 4 — Proposal & Scheduling

Once the concept is approved, I’ll provide:

  • Project pricing

  • Estimated timeline

  • Painting schedule

  • Materials/process details

  • Deposit Information

A deposit secures your project date.

Step 5 — Painting & Installation

The work gets done! The mural is brought to life on-site, or if your piece is a custom canvas that can be transported, your piece will be painted in my studio to lower traveling costs (unless otherwise requested).

Depending on the scale of the project, painting may take anywhere from a couple days to multiple sessions. Every project has a different timeline, and I do my best to ensure the most accurate estimate of my time.

I work carefully to balance efficiency, professionalism, and craftsmanship while respecting your space and/or business hours.

Step 6 — Final Touches

Once complete, we’ll review the finished mural together and make sure everything feels polished and complete. I will give you any and all methods of long term care for the piece, as well as sign it with my logo and give you a certificate of authenticity should your piece require one. (And before you ask, don’t worry, I don’t plan on making my logo or signature the star of any show- I typically like to hide it in plain sight and let the painting do the talking)

Step 7 — Reveal & Sharing

I love documenting finished projects and sharing them online (with permission, of course).

If you had opted in for my bundle of Content & Creation for the piece, this is when I will take all of my footage from over the course of the creation of the artwork and synthesize it into content that will be posted. This specific package can vary widely between projects, and would be something we will have already discussed and undergone throughout the entire process.

Clients are encouraged to use mural photographs for social media, websites, and marketing whether or not they had opted in for the Content and Creation Package.

    Murals are typically priced by square footage, with a current starting rate of $30 per square foot.

    Pricing may vary depending on factors such as design complexity, level of detail, surface conditions, accessibility, and project environment.

    This pricing generally includes:

    • Design time

    • Materials

    • Painting labor

    • Standard preparation

    • Sealing/finishing when applicable

    Additional costs may apply for:

    • Travel outside my standard service area

    • Specialty materials

    • Rush timelines

    • Equipment rentals

    • Extensive surface preparation

    Commissioned paintings and custom artwork are priced based on material costs, time investment, project complexity, and overall scope.

  • I carefully select materials, paints, and finishes based on the environment and surface conditions of each project in order to maximize durability and longevity.

    During the consultation process, I’ll ask questions about:

    • Sun exposure

    • Weather conditions

    • Surface material

    • Moisture exposure

    • Indoor vs. outdoor placement

    • Long-term maintenance expectations

    While I always aim to create work that lasts as long as possible, outdoor murals naturally experience wear over time due to weather, UV exposure, moisture, and environmental conditions. Because of this, I cannot guarantee permanent preservation or protection against natural aging and environmental damage.

  • Project timelines vary depending on:

    • Size

    • Complexity

    • Level of detail

    • Surface conditions

    • Weather

    • Scheduling logistics

    • Revision process

    Some projects may take a single day, while others may require multiple sessions over several weeks.

    Once we discuss your project, I’ll provide an estimated timeline within your quote and work collaboratively with you to schedule the project in a way that fits both of our needs whenever possible.

  • I’m currently based in the Chicagoland area and am available for projects throughout the surrounding region.

    Projects outside of my standard service radius may still be possible, but additional travel fees, lodging accommodations, or scheduling considerations may apply depending on distance and project scale.

    If you’re unsure whether your project falls within my service area, feel free to reach out — I’m always open to discussing unique opportunities.

  • For most projects involving design preparation, material costs, or large-scale work, a signed agreement and deposit are required in order to secure your project date.

    Projects over $1,000 typically require a 50% deposit before work begins.

    Certain projects may qualify for adjusted deposit structures depending on the scope, materials, or collaborative nature of the project. Remaining balances are typically due upon project completion unless otherwise discussed beforehand.

  • Surface preparation requirements vary depending on the condition, material, and location of the project surface.

    During the consultation process, we’ll discuss:

    • Existing wall conditions

    • Cleanliness/prep needs

    • Accessibility

    • Priming or sealing requirements

    • Environmental considerations

    Some surfaces may require preparation prior to painting in order to ensure the best possible results and durability.

  • Unless otherwise agreed upon in writing, the artist retains the rights to original artwork designs and documentation of the work.

    Clients are welcome to display and promote commissioned artwork within their space or business. If artwork will be reproduced, licensed, manufactured, sold commercially, or used for large-scale branding/marketing purposes beyond the original installation, additional usage agreements may be required.
