About the Piece
So happy to finally show off this beauty! I’ve spent the last 6 months building my first collection, and this was one of the first pieces I made for it. It also happens to be one I completely painted twice.
The first version just didn’t have the depth I imagined. I wanted the water to feel like it was actually moving beneath the lilies, with texture that catches the light and flowers that almost float above the surface. So I painted over it and started again.
This vivid piece is a memory of doing exactly what you need to do — even if that means starting over — to make something live up to your real vision.
