Tulips Bring Spring

About the Piece

The first blooms of spring are always the most notable to me. After a long winter, they’re the first reminder that spring is here again. They happen to be some of my favorite flowers, so seeing their return is both a treat and an indication of the season to come.

To me, they represent resilience—the idea that some of the first things you do after a difficult time can set you up for a season of the most beautiful things to come. Sometimes all it takes is the spite to bloom, even through the risk of the cold.
